PIZZycle was born as a uni project during the pandemic. As the task was to come up with a design in response to the current happenings, Marlene and Luise decided to solve environmental challenges that had gotten worse during this time. As both designers noticed, parks, streets and trash bins were tremendously polluted with used pizza cardboard boxes and thus posed the perfect design challenge. Marlene and Luise then decided to create a sustainable pizza box and shortly after, the first concept and ideas of PIZZycle were born.

With the help of Filip, both designers increased the sustainability performance of the product and started to follow their dream of becoming the founders of the new sustainable pizza packaging. Let us make history together!

We closely work with patent attorney Malte Köllner, the owner and founder of Köllner & Partner to ensure design protection and consulting in all areas.

Also, we would like to thank and credit Peter Eckart, the professor and supervisor during the conceptual part of the project at HfG Offenbach within the course: "... und jetzt?"
