PIZZycle was born as a uni project during the pandemic. As the task was to come up with a design in response to the current happenings, Marlene and Luise decided to solve environmental challenges that had gotten worse during this time. As both designers noticed, parks, streets and trash bins were tremendously polluted with used pizza cardboard boxes and thus posed the perfect design challenge. Marlene and Luise then decided to create a sustainable pizza box and shortly after, the first concept and ideas of PIZZycle were born.
With the help of Filip, both designers increased the sustainability performance of the product and started to follow their dream of becoming the founders of the new sustainable pizza packaging. Let us make history together!
Luise is one of the Co-Founders and designers of PIZZycle and especially passionate about sustainable everyday solutions. There is no alternative to waste and carbon intense products? Luise will likely tackle this challenge and change that! When it comes to her own personal sustainability journey, Luise loves educating her friends and family about living a low impact life.
Marlene is one of the designers and Co-Founders of PIZZycle and advocates for more sustainability in design since many years on her Instagram page @Greendesigns_. Finally, Marlene takes her conceptual skills to the next level and launches her first product. As a former rower, Marlene is always up for challenging our design and product philosophy with you in a great meeting.
Filip is one of the Co-Founders of PIZZycle and works on everything non-design related. If you text or call us, chances are high you will get to know him first. Besides loving pizza and caring for sustainability, Filip enjoys the outdoors and homemade lemonades. In his previous life not too long ago, Filip graduated in law and sustainability science.
